IT Security Manager

An opportunity has arisen in one of the Times top 100 employers from 2003. You will be our main source of advice and expertise on all aspects of IT Security and will also be responsible for devising and delivering agency-wide security strategy and policy. We expect to achieve BS7799 accreditation shortly for the IT Unit and you will be expected to ensure that we maintain the standard and extend the scope of certification. You will be tasked with ensuring that our Business Continuity plans are maintained and rehearsed regularly. The Person The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and personal qualities: · In-depth understanding of BS7799 standards. · Broad knowledge of technical security issues and understanding of the principal security issues of IT platforms and applications. · The ability to plan and organise to achieve results, including working under pressure and prioritising competing tasks. Good inter-personal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
